Competition on facebook
Having a chat and trying to think of ways to attract some members into the forum as the car show has finished this season would be good to try and get the activity up before next year starts so we can smash out a few shows for banter and get decent numbers and cars I spose.

I'm thinking if we try get a company to potentially donate an item which is useful to anyone i.e. something car care related (rumour has it dan has a few contacts in this industry Wink ) and we can post / announce a competition via the facebook page which we get people to share the page and a winner will be picked at random and announced via the forum. (announcement on here purely to get them signed up and posting)

I have emailed Gareth at detailedobsession but haven't heard back as of yet.

"I was wondering if you would be interested in getting involved with an Essex car community. The website can be located at http://www.ES6.co.uk

The forum has been set up for a year or so now and was quite active but really needed more attention its been picking up again slowly but surely and we're looking to offer some discounts on generic items such as car cleaning gear.

I think at this moment in time the site has around 300 registered members so it is still small but what we was looking to try and achieve is see if a local company would perhaps be willing to donate something in the means of a competition, nothing of major expense but something any car user could benefit from.

We would then advertise the competition via Facebook and the forum with your company details, Which In turn I hope would benefit the forum growth and your customer base.

We also have a traders section on the forum if you wanted to post up i'd happily set your account up.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks."

Between the 3 of us i'm sure we can sort something?

Re: Competition on facebook
Yep dan will be able to probably name a few local detailing companies….

I think a giveaway is a good idea but shouldn't be to a a nob who will take the item and never come back lol if that makes sense….

I know a guy who does some painting and custom things like inside headlights blah blah maybe i could speak to him about a discount through us he done my mirror covers and bump strip on my astra was good quality.. He's got work to post pictures of what he's done to

Re: Competition on facebook
Yeah sounds good just try to get some interest and a reason for people to get on board.. once we start up and have interest it should just pick up itself.

Re: Competition on facebook
I'll have a think and get in touch with a few people/companies.

I've probably got some detailing stuff laying around that I no longer use.
